SOLO PRESS THANKS YOU FOR BEING WITH US FOR 40  WONDERFUL YEARS!        

 

Any literary enterprise that can survive for 40 years is something of a miracle. Most publishers and editors don't have the stamina to keep a journal afloat against a tide of indifference, ignorance, and so on. But Glenna Luschei is a born survivor, and she has faced into the wind and put her best into Café Solo. She has my congratulations, as an old friend and someone who has benefited from her support as a publisher.

Glenna Luschei is both a poet and a phenomenon. The achievements of her own literary work, both in her own poems and in her scholarly contributions, would be more than enough to make her worthy of celebration-- but for 40 years now, through her press, her magazine, her creative ideas and her presence, Glenna Luschei has brought to the support of other writers the energy, enthusiasm, and boundless generosity, of  five or six ordinarily dedicated mortals.  I join the entire literary community in the great pleasure of honoring and recognizing a person who has so often turned her own vision to the honoring of others.
